Privacy Policy

Efficiency Smart is an independent building performance, retrofit and EPC consultancy run by Ben Lloyd Rea, based in Colchester and covering Essex. For any privacy questions or requests, contact hello@efficiencysmart.co.uk.

Through the enquiry and free EPC review forms on this site we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Phone number (if you choose to provide one)
• Property postcode or address details you share
• EPC link, RRN or property details for a free review
• The message and enquiry type you send us
• The date and time of the submission

We collect this information solely to respond to your enquiry, discuss your building or provide the service you have asked about. We do not use it for marketing, do not add you to newsletters, and do not sell or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Enquiries are emailed to Efficiency Smart and stored in a private backup database so nothing is lost if an email fails to deliver. The database is hosted on secure managed infrastructure and access is restricted to the business owner.

Email is sent using a reputable transactional email provider. Standard delivery metadata (such as delivery status) may be retained by that provider on our behalf.

Enquiries are kept for as long as reasonably needed to answer your question, deliver the service and meet any related record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your records at any time.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email hello@efficiencysmart.co.uk from the address you used to contact us and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

This site does not use marketing or advertising cookies. Any strictly necessary cookies exist only to make the site work. If lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated.

Where we link out to third-party sites (for example the EPC Hub booking profile), those services have their own privacy policies which we do not control.
